Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 15, 2025
At BlazeVoltKinetic, we believe privacy is fundamental to building decentralized internet solutions. This policy explains how we handle your information when you interact with our educational platform and services. We're based in Taiwan and comply with local regulations, but we're committed to protecting your data no matter where you're located.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you register for our Web3 courses or webinars, we collect basic details: your name, email address, and sometimes your professional background. If you're curious why we ask about your experience level—it helps us recommend appropriate learning paths. We're not collecting this to spam you or sell to third parties.
- Contact information: name, email, phone number (optional)
- Account credentials: username and encrypted password
- Educational background and experience level
- Payment information (processed through secure third-party providers)
- Communication preferences and feedback
Automatically Collected Data
Like most websites, we gather technical information when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, and which pages you view. It's not about surveillance—we use this to fix bugs, improve performance, and understand which topics interest our community most.
| Data Type | Purpose | Retention Period |
|---|---|---|
| Device information | Platform optimization | 12 months |
| Usage patterns | Course improvement | 24 months |
| Session data | Security monitoring | 90 days |
| Learning progress | Personalized recommendations | Duration of enrollment + 2 years |
2. How We Use Your Information
We're teaching Web3 and decentralized systems, so we take data ethics seriously. Your information serves specific purposes—and we don't stretch those boundaries.
Primary Uses:
Delivering educational content, managing your account, processing payments, sending course updates, responding to your questions, and improving our learning platform based on actual usage patterns.
- Course delivery and access management to enrolled programs
- Communication about your learning progress and upcoming webinars
- Technical support and troubleshooting when things break
- Platform improvements based on aggregated usage data
- Security monitoring to protect against unauthorized access
- Compliance with legal obligations under Taiwan regulations
We won't use your data to train AI models without explicit consent, and we definitely won't sell your information to advertisers. The Web3 space has enough privacy violations already.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We work with specific partners to run our platform, but we're selective. Here's who sees what and why.
Service Providers We Use
Our payment processor handles transaction data—we never see your full credit card number. Our email platform manages course notifications. Our hosting provider stores course materials. Each partner operates under strict data protection agreements.
- Payment processors for secure transaction handling
- Cloud infrastructure providers for platform hosting
- Email service providers for course communications
- Analytics tools (anonymized data only) for platform improvements
- Video hosting services for webinar recordings
We Do Not Share With:
Marketing companies, data brokers, social media platforms for advertising, or any entity that would use your information for purposes unrelated to your education. If a partner's practices change, we'll re-evaluate our relationship with them.
Legal Requirements
We'll disclose information if required by Taiwan law, court orders, or legitimate legal processes. We'll notify you when legally permitted, but sometimes legal restrictions prevent us from doing so.
4. Your Rights and Control
You own your data. We're just temporary custodians while you're learning with us.
Access and Correction
Log into your account anytime to view or update your information. If something looks wrong or outdated, fix it. Need help? Contact us at support@blazevoltkinetic.com and we'll sort it within five business days.
Data Portability
Want your learning history, course progress, and account data in a readable format? Request an export and we'll provide it within 15 days. You can take this data to another platform if you choose.
Deletion Rights
You can request account deletion at any time. We'll remove your personal information within 30 days, though we may retain some records for legal compliance (like transaction histories for tax purposes). Course certificates you've earned will remain valid even after deletion.
Important Note: Deletion is permanent. We can't restore your account, learning progress, or course access after the 30-day grace period ends.
- Submit a deletion request through your account settings or via email
- Verify your identity through our secure confirmation process
- Review what data will be deleted and what must be retained
- Confirm your decision—this step is irreversible
- Receive deletion confirmation within 30 days
5. Data Security Measures
We implement multiple layers of protection because we're teaching blockchain security—we'd be hypocrites if we didn't practice what we teach.
- End-to-end encryption for data transmission using TLS 1.3
- Encrypted storage for sensitive information at rest
- Regular security audits by third-party specialists
- Access controls limiting who can view your information
- Automated monitoring for suspicious activity patterns
- Regular backup systems with encrypted storage
- Secure password requirements and optional two-factor authentication
Despite our precautions, no system is completely bulletproof. If a breach occurs, we'll notify affected users within 72 hours and explain what happened, what data was involved, and what steps we're taking.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies—but sparingly. Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember your preferences. That's it. We don't use invasive tracking or behavioral advertising cookies.
Types of Cookies We Use
| Cookie Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Account authentication and platform functionality | Session or 30 days |
| Preference | Remember your settings and language choices | 12 months |
| Analytics | Understand how people use our platform (anonymized) | 24 months |
You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some platform features might not work properly. Our course content will still be accessible—you'll just need to log in more frequently.
7. International Data Transfers
Our primary servers are in Taiwan, but some partners operate globally. When your data crosses borders, we ensure adequate protection through standard contractual clauses and similar safeguards.
If you're accessing our platform from outside Taiwan, understand that your information may be processed in Taiwan where data protection laws differ from your home country. We apply the same security standards regardless of location.
8. Children's Privacy
Our courses target professionals and adult learners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 years old. If you're under 16, please don't register without parental consent.
If we discover we've inadvertently collected data from someone under 16, we'll delete it promptly. Parents who believe their child's information was collected should contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We'll update this policy occasionally as our platform evolves or regulations change. When updates are significant, we'll email enrolled users and post a notice on our platform for 30 days.
The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects our most recent changes. We recommend checking back periodically, especially before enrolling in new courses.
10. Taiwan-Specific Compliance
We comply with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and related regulations. You have specific rights under Taiwan law, including the right to request information about how we process your data and the right to file complaints with Taiwan's data protection authority.
Taiwan Data Protection Contact:
If you have concerns about how we handle your information under Taiwan law, you can contact the National Development Council's Department of Cyber Security at their offices in Taipei or through their online portal.
